FAQ
Sizing
Our shirts run true-to-size, but if you're in between sizes or prefer a more relaxed fit, size up.
Shrinkage
"I was in the pool!" While all our fabric is pre-shrunk, cotton knit still has a tendency to shrink on the first wash (about 5%). Keep this in mind if you're in between sizes, or if you're aiming for a looser fit.
Fit
The ideal fit for a Tucked-in Tee is "slight looseness." We use a medium-weight fabric that drapes well across all body types. Not too tailored, not too loose.
ASK US
We're always pumped to connect with customers and we want to get you the perfect tee, so if you have any questions about sizing or fit, please DM us on Instagram or email support@mgrsbrand.com.
4 Steps
Step 1. Make sure your tee is hanging as far down as possible.
Step 2. Pull your pants over your shirt.
Step 3. Button your pants and give the front and back a light tug to bring some slack into the tee.
Step 4. If you have any excess material or poofiness, continue reading for the "Military Tuck." Otherwise, you're good-to-go.
The Military Tuck
Once your shirt is tucked, run your thumbs around the tee to smooth any creases or bunching from the front or back.
Next, pinch the fabric at each side and fold it back on itself to create a fitted look, ensuring that your fold lines up with your armpit.
Finally, admire yourself in the mirror, because you look like an absolute legend.
Fantastic question, thank you for asking. We use 100% combed cotton, which is softer and stronger than regular cotton, because of a process that removes shorter fibers and impurities.
We chose cotton pique for a few reasons:
1) Versatility: its texture makes it a more formal, classic fabric; you can dress it up or dress it down (like a RL or Lacoste Polo).
2) Comfort: soft handfeel, with natural stretch and breathability.
3) Accessibility: we want the tuck to be accessible to everyone, so we chose a medium-weight fabric that drapes well on every body type. The formality of the fabric also matches the formaility of a shirt that's tucked in (i.e. it just looks 'right').
4) Sustainability: the best way to be sustainable is to buy less stuff, and buy stuff that lasts, so we chose natural fabric that will stand the test of time. As we scale, we will continue to improve in our sustainabilty and focus on natural fabrics as much as possible.
Yes, a little.
While all our fabric is pre-shrunk, cotton knit still has a tendency to shrink on the first wash (about 3-5%). This is especially true with high heat dryers (i.e. most dryers). Some customers that are in between sizes will wash hot and dry with high heat to get the desired fit; a solid option.
Instructions: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, remove promptly.
Please take care of your tee to preserve it's life and fit - they are built to last.
